Grillin’ Out with the Deens

Memorial Day weekend is the official kick-off to grilling season, so you’ll be hard-pressed to find my family anywhere but by the grill. Y’all know Jamie and Bobby love cookin’ out, but Michael and I can’t get enough of it either—especially when the boys are in charge!

Whether they’re grillin’ up burgers and brats or a good ol’ steak, I always know we’re in for a real treat. Of course, you know you can cook more than just meats on the grill. Grilled veggies are a delicious way to keep the doctor away, y’all! The veggies really soak in that delicious smoky flavor. And just like with suppertime, I’ve saved the best for last. You can even grill something sweet up for dessert. I hope y’all like the sound of that as much as I do!

Of course, we wouldn’t be celebrating Memorial Day if it weren’t for all the brave men and women who sacrificed everything for our freedoms, so this Memorial Day, be sure to say a little thanks to those that paid the ultimate price.
