Difficulty: Easy

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 30 to 40 minutes

Servings: 12 to 14

Ingredients

  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces fontina cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cups finely chopped Vidalia onion or other sweet onion
  • 6 slices bacon, chopped and cooked until crisp
  • corn chips for serving

Directions

Preheat oven to 350˚F. Spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, fontina cheese, and mayonnaise with a mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add onion, beating until combined. Spread mixture into prepared pan.

Bake until hot and bubbly, 30 to 40 minutes. Sprinkle with bacon. Serve with corn chips.

Kitchen Tip: Two (10-ounce) bags frozen chopped onion can be substituted for Vidalias. Thaw, drain, and pat onions dry to remove excess moisture that would otherwise make the dip watery.
