Carla’s White Chocolate Cherry Christmas Cookies

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 1 tablespoon almond extract
- 3¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1 bag white chocolate chips
- 1 jar maraschino cherries
- 3 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
Preheat oven to 350˚F.
Cut cherries in half, then roll them in paper towels to remove the moisture.
Cream together the butter and sugars, scraping down the sides to ensure it’s fully incorporated. Beat in the eggs, vanilla, almond extract, and maraschino cherry juice.
Combine the all purpose flour and baking soda, then add it a cup at a time into the wet ingredients.
Lastly, mix in the white chocolate chips and maraschino cherries by hand.
Use a cookie scoop or roll into balls. Place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
