Air Fryer French Fries

  • 2 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into ¼-inch sticks
  • oil, for spraying
  • sea salt, to taste


In a bowl of ice water, soak cut potatoes for at least 15 minutes. Pat potatoes dry with paper towels.

Spray potatoes with oil and place in air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd. Set temperature to 320 degrees, and air fry for 10 minutes, to remove moisture. Shake basket, spray potatoes with oil, and sprinkle with salt. Set temperature to 400 degrees, and air fry for 10 minutes, shaking occasionally and adding more oil if you like. Repeat with remaining potatoes.
