Lovey-Dovey Dinner

By

Valentine’s Day is one of the most romantic days of the year, so why not have a romantic night in with soft lighting, sweet music, and a fabulous menu? The options are endless of what you could prepare, but if you want to wow your honey with something out of the ordinary, consider our menu for a truly lovey-dovey dinner!

First Course

Spinach Salad with a Hot Blackberry-Walnut Dressing – Start dinner off with a special salad, full of bacon, fruit, and crunchy walnuts. My Blackberry Walnut Dressing adds a little sweetness and a little tartness too.

Second Course

Oyster & Brie Champagne Soup – This Oyster & Brie Champagne Soup has Valentine’s Day written all over it. Full of aphrodisiacs, it is perfect for a romantic dinner at home.

Main Course

Roast Prime Rib of Beef with a Rich Pan Sauce – Sure, this dish may take a while to make, but it really is quite easy. With only 6 ingredients, most of the time is passive cooking time, giving you more time with your sweetie.

Mashed Potatoes with Sautéed Mushrooms – Every good steak needs a tasty potato, and this mashed potato recipe gets glammed up with sautéed mushrooms. Not only do they make the plate prettier, they also add a little extra flavor and texture to the plate.

Green Beans with Almonds & Caramelized Onions – A lighter green dish is practically a must alongside the heavier meat and potatoes. The crunchy almonds and soft and flavorful caramelized onions perfectly balance the crispness of the green beans.

Dessert

Chocolate Mousse – Finish dinner off on a sweet note with this light and airy chocolate mousse. Your S.O. will be impressed because it’s such an elegant dish, but just between us, it’s super simple to prepare!

Are you planning on making this menu for Valentine’s Day or do you have something else up your sleeve? We want to hear your big plans for your valentine!
