Hot Fudge Chocolate Sauce

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup evaporated milk
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla


Melt butter in a sauce pan, then add in the sugar. Next, add in the chocolate chips, and cook until sugar and chocolate chips are melted. Add the evaporated milk; cook for another minute or so, making sure all the sugar is melted and the sauce is not grainy. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.

Let cool slightly, then serve over your favorite cake, pie, or ice cream!

Note from Paula: When reheating, add a bit of evaporated milk, and it will cream right up again!
