2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoon ground oregano
1 teaspoon ground basil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano

Return meat to pan and add oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 30 to 45 minutes.

I made this last night for dinner for the 1st time. WOW....it was so delicious!! Lasagna is my husbands favorite dish and I haven't made it in years. The old recipe I've always used was so time consuming but very tasty. Paula's Lots of Meat Lasagna was out of this world easy. I've never heard of oven ready lasagna noodles but I loved them!! You couldn't even tell a difference at all on taste from the regular ones that you boil. I'll be making Lasagna on a regular basis now. My husband will be so happy!! Thanks Paula!!! =)

Paula, you're the best. I have a question, what is ground chuck? Is it like ground beef? Cheers!

So I usually make the worst lasagna in history. I resorted to buying the frozen kind in the store. it was all right. I have been deteremined for years to find the 'right' recipe. This was it!!! Oh my goodness, it was so delicious. The lasagna was BUBBLING when I took it out of the oven. (my old recipe was dry and pretty gross). the Italian sausage was a nice compliment, and added some texture to the flavor, the cheese was wonderful. My daughter-who doesn't even really care for lasagna liked this recipe, my husband thought it was possibly the best thing I had ever made. AND I was happy!! for my smaller family, this made a lot of lasagna, but that was good because we had some leftovers. it was just as good, if not better the second day! I followed the recipe,I bought the wrong noodles by mistake-but other than that, it was awesome! You Go Paula Dean!
