I just made this recipe and it's delicious. I used crushed tomatoes instead of whole tomatoes and only one cup of celery. I'm stuffed! This was the best!

Made this vegetarian style and it was simply delicious! Thanks for the recipe, Jaime and Paula. @George Noble, why would you rate a recipe before trying and bring the overall rating down with the mediocre one you gave? Who does that?

I finally had the chance to make this.. and I must say it was absolutely delicious.
I will definitely be making this again in the near future!!Thank you for sharing this tasty recipe!

I have made this chili twice and used diced tomatoes instead of stewed so there wouldn't be chuncks of tomatoes and the chili was great each time. It is a stable in my household.

i don't like chunks of tomatoes so i blended the can of tomatoes in juice and it turned out amazing. love the recipe, thank you. and i agree with sarah Doyle that i would love to have ideas of what to serve with chili, corn bread gets old.

This chili was great and easy! My husband and i loved it! I put half the beans and 1lb of sausage and 1lb of beef. I also left out the stewed tomatoes. Great for the winter and lots of leftovers! Definatly the best chili!

I would like a few ideas on choices of sides to serve with chili other than cornbread and the usual. Thanks.

So Good! I put in my crock pot on high for 4 hours. I didn't have enough room to put in 2 (28oz) cans of the diced tomatoes so I only did one. Worked GREAT!

I just printed Jamie's Chili recipe and am gonna cook in the crockpot for supper tomorrow night. It looks pretty easy and can't wait to try it!! We are from Summerville, SC, but have relatives in Bluffton and we visit quite frequently. We love going to downtown Savannah to take the ferry over to River street. The food must be fantastic in Paula's restaurant because we can never get in to enjoy it!! I love the history in savannah, as we took a tour of it once for our anniversary. My favorite candy shop is,of course, River Street Sweets. We have a lot of history here in Charleston as well, and it is growing every day!! Thank you, Paula for sharing recipe's to your fans. May God bless all of you in a very special way, Love, Betty Fahl

I always just "made chili" the way my Mama did for all of my adult life and it was "really good." I believe in Paula Deen because her taste buds are southern like ours... Sooo about three yrs ago I was seeing what she had to say about chili. I saw this 5 star recipe... I can assure you that it is THE BEST chili I or my family has ever TASTED. The combo of sausage/beef seems now a no-brainer, but I never added sausage before. It is PERFECT the way it is... I buy the huge containers of all the beans called for and premeasure proper amounts for later in a gallon ziplock, freeze all together, and have ready for the next 2-3 cookings..Would not change a thing about the recipe except for doubling it....
Thanks Paula for this wonderful addition to my FAVORITES........

well i know who i want to be like when i grow up..... YOU PAULA DEEN!!! LOVE YOUR RECIPES AND I WISH I COULD MAKE EVERYONE THAT YOU PRODUCE. LOVE IT VERY MUCH... THANK YOU SOOO VERY MUCH MY FRIEND..AND GOD BLESS!

Love this chili! I used stewed tomatoes instead of whole tomatoes. I'm a tomato lover, but many I know & feed aren't, so I used only one can of stewed tomatoes, but the same amounts of everything else. I also cooked on high in my crockpot for an hour & then low for 2-3 hours. Let's just say...it was gone within the hour of it being done! ![]()
