Summer Shortcakes

Just because it’s swimsuit season doesn’t mean we don’t still have a sweet tooth! Lately we’ve been on a shortcake kick, and topping it with summery fruits, like strawberries, peaches, and citrus fruit, is our current preferred way to prepare it. It adds a fresh flavor to the fresh baked shortcake that just shouts “summertime!”

Paula’s recipes for this biscuit-adjacent sweet are unsurprisingly popular with us considering how good her traditional biscuits taste. And while we love a good pound cake and an angel food cake, right now, shortcakes are really—taking the cake.
