Chocolate-Covered Strawberries

  • 12 fresh strawberries with tops still on
  • 1 (12-ounce bag) milk chocolate chips
  • additional chocolate chips, optional, for melting and drizzing
  • assorted sprinkles, optional


Wash strawberries thoroughly, and let dry completely in the refrigerator.

Melt chocolate in a double boiler. Once melted, quickly, dip the clean, dry strawberries in the chocolate and immediately add desired sprinkles or decor. If decorating with chocolate drizzles, let the base coat of chocolate dry before adding decorative drizzle to avoid the two layers running together.
