Here in Savannah, our local baseball team, the Savannah Bananas, are in the middle of another season of fun, and let me tell you—my grandboys are sports nuts and just can’t get enough of these games. But I also have to say that even if you’re not a big sports fanatic, you’re sure to have a ball anyways. They’ve got great music, fun competitions, beautiful fireworks, yellow tuxedos, and the Banana Nanas (think I could join that dance team?). But most importantly, they give back, friends. The Bananas always have local organizations that raise money through ticket sales for every game, and being that I have a soft spot in my heart for people and animals in need, I really respect that.
In honor of my friends on the Bananas team, I thought I’d go a little bananas myself, y’all! Using their favorite ingredient for fun (bananas), I pulled together some recipes that they would surely find a-peel-ing! Now let me know which recipes you plan on makin’ in the comments below. And if you’ve been to a Savannah Bananas game, I’d love to hear about it! Go ahead and share that with me in the comments too!
