Mustard Fried Whole Flounder Recipe by Paula Deen

  • 1 whole flounder
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 pinch salt, to taste
  • 1 pinch pepper, to taste


Step 1

Fill a cast iron pot or deep fryer halfway with vegetable oil and preheat to 375°.

Step 2

Slather the whole flounder with Dijon mustard.

Step 3

In a shallow casserole dish add flour season with salt and pepper. Place the flounder in the flour and dredge. Immediately dip the fish into the fryer and let cook for 5-7 minutes.
