Sheet Tray Nachos Recipe by Paula Deen

Ingredients

  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 (15 oz) can meat chili
  • 1 (16 oz) bag Mexican blend cheese, shredded
  • 1 jar chunky salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 450°. Adjust rack to center of oven. Line a sheet tray with foil. Heat chili in a pan until it is warm.

Step 2

Spread a layer of tortilla chips on a sheet tray.

Step 3

Spoon the chili over the chips.

Step 4

Sprinkle cheese on top of chips and chili.

Step 5

Heat in oven until cheese is melted, about 6 minutes. Garnish with sour cream and salsa.

Well,I luv paulas recipes but.I would rate this a 2 bcuz I like homemade.1 lb hamburger 1/2 lb sausage onion diced fried up.together.while cooking put a jar of queso, 1/4 lb velveeta, 1 medium heat jar Ortega taco sauce, taco seasoning(to taste)my family likes spicy.1 can refried beans and can hunts chili ready.tomatoes or fire roasted tomatoes.paprika and gsrlic salt to taste.stir and start heating to simmer.drain grease from meat and add to pot with mixture.simmer til well mixed and heated thru.serve on tortilla chips with sour cream,salsa,black olives,green onions and jalapeños or put in taco shells or make yummy burritos....

I think I'll use

I think I'll use my favorite turkey chili with beans and run it through the processor for a few seconds and add it to the chips. (I use 1/2 can of fire-roasted tomatoes in my canned chili's, they can be too thick) TY for a yummy and fast recipe!

Who doesn't love

Who doesn't love oops gooey nachos? ??? Plus it's easy enough for a after school snack for some hungry kids. I know my boy's would love it.
