Paula, All of your recipes sound delicious. I love the black eyed peas for good luck! Saves cooking them for New Years! The broccoli sausage pie is one I'll have to try and your son's gumbo!! I need your kitchen (mine is a bit smaller ). The one that grabs my attention is the ham based with cola, growing up a neighbor used basically the same recipe, except using sprite! I guess both do the same thing, make it more tender and yummy.

In all the coca-cola recipes I've read it calls for "classic coke", not diet. It makes a difference for sure.

I love to make southern ham. You got to try it with. Seagrams ginger ale, instead of coke cola. All the other ingredients are the same. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.

This is the only way my family will eat ham. I have been cooking it this way for years. My mom shared it with me. It must be a southern thing. Happy Holidays.
