Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb butter, (2 sticks), at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon sherry
  • 1 tablespoon Paula Deen House Seasoning
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced and zested (1/2 teaspoon zest)
  • cayenne pepper, to taste
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 1 lb shrimp, shelled, deveined and cooked

Preparation

Step 1

Add all ingredients to a food processor and season with salt and pepper. Process until mixed well and desired consistency is reached. This recipe can be pureed to the consistency of butter, or left with chunky pieces of shrimp.

Step 2

Serve on crackers as an appetizer. It is also wonderful served on top of hot grits. (If served with grits, you can also sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over grits and shrimp butter.)

It sounds delici

It sounds delicious but without knowing the size of the serving, the calorie count is meaningless. Considering Paula's breaking news about her new light cookbook, I would think that all of the recipes on the website would at least have a serving size, and whether it serves 2 or 10 people. This is just another disappointment in what the paid subscribers are not getting for their money.
