  • 2 (10-3/4 oz) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 2 (10 oz) packages frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and drained
  • 6 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup butter crackers, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • non-stick spray, for casserole dish


Step 1

Heat oven to 350°. Spray an 11x17 casserole dish with non-stick spray.

Step 2

Add cream of chicken soup to the mixing bowl.

Step 3

Add the sour cream, Gruyere and mayonnaise to the bowl.

Step 4

Add curry powder, lemon juice and salt and pepper.

Step 5

Mix in chicken broth a little at a time for a smooth sauce.

Step 6

Add the broccoli.

Step 7

Add the chicken. Mix well. Add to prepared casserole dish.

Step 8

Top with Cheddar cheese and crushed butter crackers and drizzle with melted butter.

Step 9

Bake for 35 - 45 minutes, until hot and bubbly and top is golden.

I made this reci

I made this recipe tonight and followed the recipe exactly. It was very good but we're not fans of curry so the next time I will leave that out. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

Without a doubt

Without a doubt this is a 5 star recipe. Try the mixture inside of puff pastry for a delicious and different pot pie recipe, or make pocket pies. Paula, you are the best, I don't care what they may say about your style of cooking or the amount of fat and calories that is in them. I just love you and every recipe of yours is filled with delightful flavor and deliciousness. If I had to eat diet food the rest of my life, I would prefer to go ahead and die. People need to learn how to control the amount of what they eat and quit blaming their obesity on others.

I am definitely going to make this within the next couple of days and will submit another comment! Sounds yummy! It's funny that others comment about this recipe but they change it up so they aren't making this exact recipe. Why bother to comment when you aren't using the same ingredients?!

This was so good

This was so good! Used cream of mushroom-roasted garlic and cream of celery soup. Added rice and used Ritz crackers instead of bread crumbs.
