Mrs. Hoggle's Stuffed Cranberry Sauce Recipe by Paula Deen

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (16 oz) jellied cranberry sauce, chilled
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Preparation

Mix cream cheese and mayonnaise until creamy; it needs to be spreadable. Then, add pecans and mix well. Slice cranberry sauce in 1/4 inch rounds and spread cream cheese mixture on one round and place another round on top, sandwich style. Keep in fridge until time to serve.

I have been making the stuffed cranberry sauce for about ten years. Everyone looks forward to it and it's always requested when folks take home their leftovers. I serve it on an oval shaped white plate, and it's really pretty, too! Make it part of your Thanksgiving feast this year.
