TIP: Frozen fruits make the smoothie thicker. Use fresh fruits if you want a creamier smoothie and from my experimentation with green smoothies, water will work fine. In the drinks I've made with coconut water there isn't much coconut flavour anyway. Look forward to trying this tomorrow with pineapple and strawberry (no mango on hand)

I have allergies to curtain fruits & berries. I can eat Banana, apples, grapes, oranges, cherries. Would one of these work in the Good Morning Green smoothie. Instead of mango, Pinapple seems to be fine.

From what I can tell this would be 2 WW points...as long as the pineapple and mango are fresh not canned.! Will have to try sounds delish!

I am enjoying your Good Morning Green Smoothie very much but have been unable to find the nutrition info for this recipe. I am in WeightWatchers and wanted to calculate how many points are in this. Thank you, Karen Todd Marietta, GA

This seriously is amazing!!!!! I added 1 cup of ice because it was too watery for my taste. I also added protein power to before I started blending. What a great smoothie to start your day out to. Thanks Paula! Everything you come up with is so good!

Hi Paula, I know it's weird but I feel like I know you. You are such a warm & friendly person. After a couple of rough health years, I've just learned that I have developed diabetes from the prednisone that I've been taking.Thank you so much for being an inspiration to me. I've been feeling sorry for myself...no more sweet tea? Then I decided that if you can do it, I will, too. I appreciate any tips & encouragement that you would be willing to share. It can all get a bit overwhelming, as you know. Thank you! A huge fan, Diane Z.

Dear Paula ! Many times I have wished I had you as a sister. You are such a good mood booster. I used to have people tell methat I remind them of you !!! I would take that any day. I am very proud of you in your endeavor to "Please the weight Gods" Hang in there, but do it for yourself, and not because of what others say or think ! If I could get my head out of the funk I am in (personal money problems and unemployment)I would love to go on the weight loss journey with you. About 10 months after my unexpected unemployment, I had some health issues and ended up in the hospital for 12 days in ICU because of blood clots. I am trying to work thru it and would love to try your smoothies, but I cannot have the spinach and kale because I am taking blood thinners. Can you give me other alternatives that would be healthy but no vitamin K ???? Love you and your shows. I only have one of your recipe books, but hope to get more when my financial status improves. Keep up the good work and always make time for your grand babies. Love your son's shows also. Love seeing Michael also, but he would probably rather be fishing !!! LOL Your friend, Linda Shrum OKC, OK If I ever win the lottery, I want you to come and design my kitchen !!! Love the ambiance and character that yours has !

Is the frozen mango & pineapple the actual fruit?
By sue king on June 24, 2012
Is there any substitute for the Pineapple..I'm allergic but other then that it sounds wonderful.

Loved this smoothie! It truly tastes like mango. I freeze the left over and have it for a dessert after dinner when the children are having ice cream. Thank you for this great smoothie.

I was so nervous to try this. I mean kale and mango in a smoothie? I have to say, it was awesome!!! Thanks Paula!

Hey there girl! I am dropping weight after being diagnosed with diabetes too! I also was in a head on collision and had a shattered pelvis and shattered hip and shredded sciatic nerve... then I learned I have Lupus and take prednisone which then caused diabetes! Oy vey..... Anyway, I thought I would share what I learned recently.... I found pineapple to have more sugar and less fiber than other choices like peaches or pears. The smoothie also goes good with Almond Milk... which has more protein and calcium than regular milk or coconut milk. Give it a try! i also joined TOPs (taking off pounds sensibly) and it is a bunch of gals just hanging out for 1 hour a week with the same goal in mind. I am losing weight and eating well.... let us both keep up the good work Paula! Janice in Venice

I was hesitant with spinach & kale (1st time I've ever had kale or purchased it). I had it for breakfast this morning & thought it was great. It seemed to keep me satisfied until almost noon. Definitely will make it again.
