Hey, y’all!
I get a lot of requests for some of the recipes on my breakfast menu at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. You know I’m not one to keep my recipes close to the chest. I’d much rather share my recipes because you shouldn’t have to travel far to eat good food. In fact, I don’t think you should have to travel any farther than your neighborhood grocery store.
So today I’m sharin’ my recipe for Ooey Gooey Butter Pancakes, Fried Cheese Grits, and Black Pepper Bacon—yum!
The Ooey Gooey Butter Pancakes are a little more involved than your typical pancake, but they are so rich and decadent, they’re worth every ounce of work and every calorie. There’s even a special topping that goes on top. I even like to garnish these pancakes with fresh fruit to add a pop of color and a bit of freshness.
The Fried Cheese Grits are just about as southern as it gets. This southern staple is served savory with gooey cheese and a delicious crispy coating. I can seldom stop at one piece!
Lastly, my Black Pepper Bacon is a must-try! It’s incredibly easy to make, and I love that it’s baked instead of fried up in a pan. The black pepper brings a little heat while the brown sugar tones it down with a bit of sweetness.
