HI PAULA,
MY STORY IS A LOT LIKE
YOURS.
HOWEVER I WISH I HAD THE
DRIVE TO START MY OWN
BUSSINESS LIKE YOU DID.
BUT GOT THROUGH IT AND
RAISED THREE WONDERFUL
CHILDREN.
JUST WANTED TO LET YOU
KNOW HOW MUCH I ENJOY
YOUR COOKING SHOW.
I LOVE TO COOK.
BUT I DO LET PEOPLE THINK
THAT SOME OF THE RECIPES
ARE MINE.
I HOPE THATS OKAY.
THANKS AGAIN FOR SHARING YOUR STORY.
I JUST TURNED 79.
AND AM ENJOYING MY LIFE.

You know how you think people that are famous, have wonderful, problem-free lives? I couldn't put the book down. I checked it out of our local library, and had it completely read in 3 days. We are all human, and we all have ups and downs in our lives. I'm thankful that Paula shared her life with her fans. I enjoyed reading about her childhood, her family and her success! Her trials made her who she is today, and I just love her! I'm just a southern gal myself, ups and downs, believe me! but I'm stronger today because of them! I admire Paula for being brave enough, to put it all out there, the good the bad, but most of all her honesty, was truly appreciated. She is my only favorite cook, baker, kitchen guru!

Comments:
I was going through a very rough week and I was reading Paula's new book to keep my mind off of my troubles. Her book was such an inspiration to me and it actually lifted my spirits so much. She and I had gone through the same troubles. I was so proud to see a famous lady admit to having normal problems just like us common folk. I recommended it to so many of my friends.

Comments:
I've loved the Paula's Home Cooking show and made so many of her recipes. It's just really good comfort food. Nothing pretentious, just good taste, and wonderful food to show love for your family and friends with. This book shows that Paula IS a real person. Not just a TV star, not just the happy lady we see on TV. She has had problems too, just like the rest of us. Thanks for sharing so much, Paula. I respect you so much more now and am so much more proud to say, "It's another Paula Deen thing" when I put the yummy dish, or pie, or whatever on the table for my friends and family. When I say that, they usually laugh knowing what a fan I am, but they also know that whatever I made for them is going to be really good and make for a happy gathering.

Dear Paula,
I wanted to say how happy I am to have your Memoir, as my very own and I will cherish it forever. I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of seeing you at your up close and personal show at Caesars, in Atlantic City.
I had the time of my life, and it was a dream come true for me.I only wish i could meet you in person and share some of my favorite recipes with you, in fact I brought you a sample of my famous pralines and I tried to give them to you, someone from the show took them for you,I am not sure if you were able to remember, with all that was going on.
Anyway you are a wonderful Lady so warm and funny and very beautiful.I have not finished your book yet I want to take my time and cherish every word and every page.
I send you my Best wishes from my kitchen to yours,Sincerely Angela Salerno.

Hey Paula!
I have just started reading this book and can't put it down. I checked it out from the library so I'll have to buy a copy of my own!!!
For most of my life I have fought depression and have also lost my daddy and my momma ( last July). Last Thursday I turned 51 and it was mine and my husband Danny's 1 year anniversary.I have been on permanent disability for the last 3 years because of it.
I love the recipes you have put in your book. Thank you. I can't wait to try them out.
Please come to Texarkana, Texas or in Arkansas. I would love to meet you and thank you so much for touching my life.
Love ya and God bless you!! Susan

I purchased this book to find out what makes Paula Deen Paula Deen. I read this book in 4 days. I love how she keeps true to herself. As I read the book I could hear Paula narrating it to me. I laughed and sometimes had a tear or two reading this book. She gives me the strength to pursue my passion for cooking. My grandma owned a restaurant when I was little and she went through ups and downs. Paula's story really touched home. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to cook.

Hi Paula,
I went to see my ninety year old mom one day, and I noticed she had a copy of your book. I starting reading it, and before I knew it, I had read the whole thing. I totally forgot that I had gone to visit with my mom. I apologized to her. She said, "That's OK; I read the whole thing the same way."

Every time company comes to town, we head to Savannah, and the first place we go is Lady & Sons and to shop at the store. Great book, I could not put it down till I finished it! Being a southern gal myself I can relate to Paula.
