I used to separate my eggs like that all time when it called for that in a recipe. About a month ago, there was an easy way to separate eggs and I tried it and it worked better then the way I've been doing for years. you take a Plastic water bottle and when it's empty you crack an egg in a bowl and then you squeeze the water bottle and put on the yolk of the egg and let the air out and the yolk goes up the bottle and leaves the egg white in the dish with no yolk. I do it this way now and not your way. CJ

I have a problem sometimes when the egg doesn't crack well and the shell is jagged and misshapen. Any ideas on how to prevent the egg from doing that?

There is an easier way 1. crack egg into bowl 2. get a water bottle we all have these around and 3. Squeeze the bottle gently 4. Place next to egg yolk 5. Let go of squeeze bottle gently 6. egg yolk will be suck up in to the bottle 7. Put egg yolk were ever. It works every time No move broken egg yolks. and hands stay clean. Try this it really does work.

You can also crack eggs open in a bowl and get an empty water bottle, squeeze it and suck up the yoke with the mouth of the bottle 😄

I've done this for years, but sadly so many times the yolk would break and I'd end up with little bits of yolk in the whites. I started breaking the egg and letting the white slip between my fingers and gently hold onto the yolk. Works every time and I don't get any yolk in my whites.

Even better...use the egg shell to scoop up any shell that you may drop into egg. wink
