Is this the pie served at the Uncle Bubba's Oyster House in Savannah? It was the best pecan pie ever! I don't drink so the thought of the bourbon doesn't make me think of that pie. Am I wrong??

Great recipe. My chef friend told me I changed it significantly when I didn't have dark corn syrup and substituted 1/3 molasses and 2/3 light corn syrup and single malt scotch for the bourbon. We all liked it though.

I love the way your video shows how to do it. I just made 3 for Thanksgiving last week it had been so long since I had made a pie I had forgotten and mine got to dry, I love the 350 start, then turn it down, and just bake it 30 min, and take it out, that would help too, that testing with a knife is part of the reason it got so dry, too! Thanks

I miss you so much on the food network no one can take your place. Thank you for having these sites to go to. I did not see this in time and I made my pecan pie did all ing. and then just put the pecans on top pray it still will be ok. Directions never said mix altogether. I like Pecan Pie so does my daughter especially when I put it in the freezer and it does not freeze but gets stiff enough to give it a chewy caramel bite . That is beside what I want to share and hope you try it and like the idea. A while back over 10 years ago my daughter had to have a colostomy and she could not eat pecan pie because of the nuts . They were to hard to digest any nuts . I came up with using a processor to grind them into a course type blend then fix the pies . Found she was able to eat all of it and any type nuts that I put in baked things I made. Thing is I have never seen anywhere that this idea was ever put as an option for people in recipes containing nuts. Was hoping you try the idea and your opinion on it and use it . If you like it the credit is fine with me not asking anything if it helps people that like nuts a way for them to enjoy what they like best. Can't think of a better person to get this out for others . Happy Thanksgiving
