My family was so surprised at how good fresh cranberry sauce could be. This receipe made a believer out of some of them who didn't like cranberry at all. Thanks

I really like cranberry sauce.

I have been making my own cranberry sauce for years. Why? Because I like to put in less sugar than most people do. I also make a cranberry relish that I love. In my food processor I put in 1 bag of fresh cranberries, 1 cored and slice apple, a small can of drained crushed pineapple,1 cut up orange with peel but seeds removed, and a tad bit of sugar, (I go on taste for the sugar, I like tart things so I only use 1/4 cup sugar, but you can add up to 1 cup of sugar) I process until it is chunky, like a good salsa and then put in fridge and let the flavors marry. Just before serving I add either chopped walnuts or pecans.

Paula, I have been avid fan for years and use so many of your recipes with rave reviews! I need your help so I can continue using your wonderful recipes. I suffered a mini stroke and seizures this past Sept. I am slowing recovering and want to be able to cook simple meals for me and my husband. I have window of about 20 minutes in which I have energy to prepare something and then sit down to eat. It would mean so much to me if you could give me some help. We are getting tired of pizza and pimento sandwiches!!! But thankfully God has given me a husband that does not complain! I long for the day your beautiful face will be back on TV. God bless you and Merry Christmas to you and your family!!

what are the spices? Please be specific about which spices and how much? Thanks Robbie

Paula, I really like cranberry recipes but due to an allergy against oranges and grapefruit I can not have the sauce. I would love to have a recipe that is similar without oranges.. Any recommendations? Merry Christmas!
