My grandmother was horrified when I pulled out the Hawaiian bread - but was asking for the recipe after we ate! I added half a loaf more bread, and two cans of chicken broth. It was amazing!

I think I will chop up some macadamia nuts and add to the stuffing for some texture.... Sounds great. I can't wait to try it!!

I made this for Thanksgiving as an alternative to cornbread dressing. It went well, but not as popular as when I made Paula's cornbread dressing. If you use a 12-pack of King's Hawaiian Rolls, you'll need about 9 rolls to get 8 cups of cubes. Next time, I will probably add pecans to give it some texture. Additionally, I'll use a 3 or 4 quart baking dish to give it more of a "dressing" texture than a "stuffing" texture.

I made this stuffing for Thanksgiving ('08) and it was a big hit with my husband's family. My youngest child also helped me with the recipe. I highly recommend this one!
