Your receipes are amazing. You are amazing. My friends, my husband watch you all the time. We all chat on the phone to each other about your receipes. When you come on TV I drop whatever I am doing to watch you. Recently I went to the coast and sat at the beach and read your book about your life. I cried, I laughed. You are so warm and beautiful. Someday I am going to come to your restaurant and hope to see you! Today is my husband's birthday and I am making your layer vanilla cake with the vanilla buttercream frosting. My grandmother made a yellow layer cake, and she made a clear icing made with butter. She would pour this icing over the cake and it was delicious. I never got to ask her how she made this icing.Do you have any idea. I think it was one everyone made back then.

I LOVE PAULA DEEN. I just made this frosting today and divided the recipe in half; it yielded enough to frost a 9"x13" cake. The cake I made was blackberry spice, so I mixed some blackberries in with the frosting, which thins it out a bit. It was delicious!

It would be nice to know how much frosting this recipe yields so you would know how much you would need to frost cupcakes

I'm trying to re-create our wedding cake that we had made. It was a vanilla and chocolate marble with a basket-weave buttercream frosting. I used this as my first attempt and it is really close. It was really easy to do and i think I "tested" most of it before it got on the cake. Thanks Paula!

I just made this...oh my it is sooo good. I like that it has no shortening. It is a great buttery sweet frosting which is the perfect texture for piping. This is my go to recipe from now on. I have tried tons and as always Paulas are best. Everything really is better with butter!

Buttercream Frosting Recipe calls for 2 sticks butter - but doesn't say whether to use salted or unsalted butter. It would help if you would specify in your recipes. Love your show! Love your recipes! Most are easy and use ingredients that we have in our kitchen or are that easily found at the supermarket.
