Hi Paula!!! My husband and I are a huge fan of your chocolate cake. We are soooo hooked on this cake, that we were buying them weekly at our local 24 hour Walmart. We have not been able to find it since Hurricane Sandy and no one in Walmart can tell me if you still use them as a carrier. I NEED to know where I can begin to purchase this cake. It has been a hit in our house and Walmart brand just won't do!!!!! PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!!!!!

Dear Paula, Not all Walmarts carry your chocolate cakes. I was told that Walmart's Bakery can't order the cakes and that the cakes just come in any order. What can you do about this marketing failure?

I made this cake for the first time today and it turned out perfect. An hour and 45 minutes is to long. I continued to check it and used the toothpicks.

Is 1 hour and 45 minutes the correct cooking time? The current chocolate pound cake recipe I use bakes for only 1 hour and 15 minutes. The only difference is that Paula's recipe uses buttermilk and baking soda. Just want to check so I don't burn up my cake!

Paula, I work in a physical therapy/cardio pulmonary rehab facility and they have tv's stationed on the wall in various places and most days I do get to watch/listen to your program. Are these programs now upto date? Most of the time in the past I noticed they were a couple of years old. Just wondering if you were still taping your show. Please continue your program I really enjoy the recipes.

do you have a chocolate icing recipe to drizzle on this cake?
By Becky on January 27, 2011
I have made this cake at least 10 times and it always turns out delicious. I made several this Christmas with good reviews from all. My picky 20 year old daughter loves this cake. AMAZINGLY, I HAVE USED THIS RECIPE FOR CAKES I DECORATE WITH FONDANT OR GUM PASTE. THE DENSITY OF THIS CAKE HOLDS UP WELL WITH THE EXTRA WEIGHT. YUMMY
