Servings: varies
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients Add to grocery list

1   part water
1   part sugar
unsweetened tea
peaches, strawberries, or raspberries (to add flavor)

Directions

Dissolve equal parts sugar with water by boiling the mixture, until it coats your spoon.

To make a flavored simple syrup, cook peaches, strawberries or raspberries with simple syrup. Strain into a pitcher, and add desired amount to your tea, or you can freeze flavored simple syrup in an ice cube tray. Add desired amount of ice cubes to your tea. (This prevents your ice tea from being watered down.)

If you’re flavoring your tea with peaches, garnish with a slice of fresh peach and a sprig of fresh mint.

I absolutely love the glasses your wonderful tea was in. Can you tell me where you got them. My mother had some almost like that when I was a little girl years ago! Thank you, ps my son works in the Atlanta Airport and met Paula Deen and had his picture taken with her. She was so so nice to him - he loves her!!

Went to see you at your book signing in Dallas last year. Now the bookstore at the Shops at Legacy has closed. It makes me sad because I enjoyed seeing you there. Just glad I have the book, and I love it. Enjoyed seeing you in the Rose Parade, could you do it again next year,ha ha, as I will be there and would like to see you again.
