The ingredients list calls for half a cup of prepared soup, but the recipe calls for soup mix. Does this mean that I should use enough dry mix to make a half a cup of soup? This is my first time looking for a recipe on this site, and I can't imagine that this one was reviewed by Paula (or anybody else at all) before being posted.

This dish was very quick and easy to prepare, I'll give it that. Other than that, no positives. It was super chunky french onion ground beef. I even squished up the chunks with a potato masher. Really gross. I never thought the day would arrive when I found a Paula Deen recipe that I didn't like. I don't eat tomato products so I won't be trying any of the other sloppy joe recipes - which makes me very dissapointed.

I was so excited when I first saw the episode on FoodNetwork, where you made these. My husband does not like the typical Sloppy Joes at all. This has quickly become a family favorite, and I have shared it with many friends. I sometimes toast the bread or buns and melt cheese on top of the sloppy joe mix. My boys LOVE it! THANK YOU!! :0)

Delicious! It sure beats the tradtional "tomatoe" sloppy joes. I use regular buns though... a bit sturdier
White bread was just to soft and delicate but thanks for this recipe Paula! Love you ![]()

This is a great recipe and has became one of our favorites. We love it over the cream biscuits instead of the white bread.
