Directions

Cook ground beef, onion and pepper until beef is no longer red, stirring to break up. Sprinkle flour over beef; stir to blend thoroughly. Add Paula Deen BBQ Sauce and Vidalia Onion Steak Sauce and simmer, stirring often, for 15 to 25 minutes, or until thickened. Salt and pepper to taste. Note: If mixture becomes too thick, just add a little warm water to thin out. To serve, top the toasted buns with a large scoop of the hot sloppy joe mixture and a single slice of cheese.

I have a soy allergy. I can use the BBQ sauce sold on line (not in our Walmarts) but cannot use the Vidalia Steak Sauce because according to the label it contains Worcestershire Sauce (which includes soy). Is there other items that can be used in the recipe that would give the same flavor as the Vidalia Onion Steak Sauce? thanks.

I have been wanting to go on the Paula Deen Cruise eversince the first one started, but haven't had the chance. I've decided this is the year to go, especially since I will be celebrating with a friend for her 50th Birthday. When will the information come out for the next cruise? I don't want to miss it. Thanks!

How can I make a recipe that requires something that isn't available to me? Pauls you've lost some of your "home" style...the eyelashes and the white teeth were first and now you have lost your feel for us that are where you USED to be!
