My family of 18 came to town for a reunion, and I was in charge of dinner the first night. I wanted to serve something simple, tasty, and full of seafood. I served this stew with crab salad sandwiches and it was a MAJOR hit! Almost everybody went back for seconds. I had to double the recipe but everybody LOVED it! I passed along the recipe and I'm sure this is going to become a family favorite! Thanks for the help Paula!!!

Cooking is not one of my favorite things to do, but I must say that this is one of the easiest, tastiest recipes! I cooked it last night and my family really enjoyed it. I'm kind of lactose intolerant and thought the milk in it would cause me some problems, but it didn't. I will try it again and add my own twist to it, maybe some shrimp.

My family calls this Tin Can Chowder and the possibilities are endless. Sometimes I use shrimp, sometimes a combination of shrimp and crab meat. It might include a can of carrots, or corn or kitchen cut green beans. I always use chopped sweet Vidalia Onions, and celery. With Campbell's cream of everything soups, the flavors change with my moods. Round out the meal with a salad and cornbread.
