I have had so many positive comments about this recipe and it is very good and very easy to follow. Have done a couple variations with it: orange flavored pound cake, 5 flavor, and a rum pound cake. Keep up the good work & thanks for a delicious pound cake. P.S. works good with splenda for diabetics to have also.

This is the best recipe! This is the only one I use & always comes out perfect! For any occasion I use this recipe & add my own twist: Mexican vanilla, coconut extract, along with the almond extract! The flavors blend Sooo well & it's always a perfect treat! Have passed this recipe onto friends & family!

I made this last night because I bought the combined cookbooks lady & sons and my mom wanted pound cake. The one time I tried to make a pound cake it turned out horrible :( So I was a little worried making another one but this one turned out so well. I was moist and a perfect pound cake. For me being diabetic, I substituted the sugar with 1 1/2 cups of splenda for baking and even mom couldn't believe I used splenda. It tasted just as good as using regular sugar. This is a definite go to recipe smile

I'm so sad I burned this cake! It was my first time baking in my new Bundt pan and I just didn't watch the cake closely enough. After an hour in the oven, the outer edges of the cake were already burnt. The inside was still moist and delicious though! I will definitely make again but will reduce the oven temp or cooking time to accommodate my dark pan. Thanks, Paula! smile

I recently made this cake for a second time. We were celebrating a friend's birthday. I topped each piece with strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. What a hit!! Happy in Rhode Island.
