Recipe Courtesy of Brayden D. TurnerServings: 6 servings
Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 45 min
Difficulty: Easy
1 can crescent rolls
4 jumbo hot dogs
1 tablespoon butter
½ cup half and half
1 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon chicken bullion
4 large eggs
2 slices American Cheese, chopped
1/4 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced
Preheat oven to 350º F.
Remove the crescent rolls from the tube and line a pie dish with them, making sure to press them up the sides of the dish to the top edge. Heat butter in a saute pan while slicing hot dogs (circles). Add hot dog circles to melted butter and saute. In a medium mixing bowl, beat eggs and add remaining ingredients, except onions. Add sauteed hot dogs to mixture and pour into crescent lined pie dish. Sprinkle onion slices on top. Bake 45 minutes or until pie is set. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes From Paula’s Test Kitchen: What a great imagination from Paula’s 4 year old fan, Braydon. These are the ingredients he pulled from the refrigerator and asked to cook and this fun pie is what was created. It took about 10 minutes longer for the pie to set enough to slice well. Kids will love this recipe!

Great recipe and so easy! I used plain greek yogurt since I didn't have plain yogurt and the recipe was great! This is a keeper, thanks Paula!

Crescent rolls in a tube contain trans fats! Try another brand besides Pillsbury and check the label.

I just love your receipes. They are quick, easy and fun to make. Your receipes are not real expensive to make either. when we run out of food stamps and we are broke, we can always find one of your receipes that we can make to hold us over until the first of the month. Thank you from me and all my family. <3<3

For the Imagination Pie, do you remove hot dogs with slotted spoon or okay to add the hot dogs AND butter they were sauteed in?
