Recipe Courtesy of Paula DeenA manly take on the traditional ‘pigs in a blanket’ recipe. This hearty version will be a big hit at your next tailgater.
Servings: 4-6 servings
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 20 min
Difficulty: Easy
1 egg
2 sheets puff pastry, thawed and lightly rolled out
1 package Polska Kielbasa
honey mustard, barbeque sauce or apricot jam, for serving, optional
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Cut kielbasa into 6 (4-inch) pieces. Cut puff pastry sheets into thirds (6 strips). Roll each piece of kielbasa in puff pastry and place on a baking sheet.
Beat egg in a small dish and brush generously over pastry. Bake until pastry is golden brown and puffed, about 20 minutes. Serve with mustard, barbeque sauce, or jam, if desired.

Hi Paula, Love all of your t.v. shows. I am 68 yrs. old and have never gotten to come to Savannah to the Lady & Sons. I have always wanted to meet you but funds will not allow it right now. My mom was a Caterer for many years until Christmas 2009 when God took her home at the age of 92. Oh how I miss her. I want to tell you that I think Anthony is a total jerk. You do not owe your fans your life. I never cared much for him anyway, but now I would never watch ANY of his shows because of his attitude towards you. As for your recipes, it is a choice if we want to eat them. No one is making me eat them. I also am a Type 2 Diabetic. I was just diagnosed 5 month ago. I am trying to watch what I eat, but I love Chicken & Dumplings etc. I have lost 24 pounds, but need to lose at least 40 more pounds. Anyway I love you and your whole family, Patricia Anne Bishop. (I go by Anne)

My 10 year old and I love to watch your show, she likes it so much that I even catch her watching it by herself in her room!! It is so cute when she runs to the living room during a commercial to tell me about something that you are cooking!! I love to cook and have tried to instill a love for cooking in my children...thank you for helping to inspire my youngest!!
