3 cups, shredded frozen hash browns, thawed and drained
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, melted

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Gently press the drained hash browns between paper towels to dry them as best as possible. In a 9-inch pie plate, toss the hash browns with the melted butter into the plate. Press them into the bottom and up the sides to form a crust. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and starting to crisp.

Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. When the hash brown crust is ready pour the egg mixture over it and return to the oven.

Lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F and bake for about 30 minutes until the quiche is light golden brown on top and puffed.

I really love this recipe: Even tho I cannot eat this. I need some help with my problems, can't seem to get ANYONE to help me. I have diabetes and also Chronic Kidney disease. So there for I cannot have dairy, beans, nuts, chocolate, only 5-6 oz of protein a day. low to NO sodium. So I am choosing no sodium because you actually get enough without even trying. Okay So I am sticking to a lot of fresh veg. and fruit. What I need help with is Herbs, I just don't know what goes well with what. I L O V E salt and thats a NO_NO! So please P L E A S E help me to know what goes well with what and what herbs bring out flavor. I have tried lemon pepper. It should be called PEPPER w/ very little lemon. lol Wish I could just have the lemon. Thank you for any help you can or if you know of a book. Would be greatly appreciated. I am in a rutt, just trying to live longer.
