Recipe Courtesy of Paula DeenEasy to make, and enough servings to share with the neighbors!
Servings: 12 to 14 servings
Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 30 min
Difficulty: Easy
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
2 12-ounce cans refrigerated biscuits (10 count)
1 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray. Mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over low heat, stirring well; set aside. Cut the cream cheese into 20 equal cubes. Press the biscuits out with your fingers and sprinkle each with 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon sugar. Place a cube of cream cheese in the center of each biscuit, wrapping and sealing the dough around the cream cheese. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the nuts into the bottom of the bundt pan. Place half of the prepared biscuits in the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, pour half of the melted butter mixture over the biscuits, and sprinkle on 1/2 cup of nuts. Layer the remaining biscuits on top, sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon sugar, pour the remaining butter mixture over the biscuits, and sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup of nuts. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes. Place a plate on top and invert.

I have renamed this GUERRILLA bread because it overtakes your senses and is bursting with flavor! I used light cream cheese and cut the white sugar to 3/4 cup - no one could tell the difference. I will be adding this to my recipe collection.

Hi Paula, I live in a tiny town w/almost all Amish neighbors. Each yr. I bake the children next door a birthday cake. If I didn't give them an ooey gooey dessert they would think I was mad at them. They don't have TV so they don't know who "Paula Deen" is. Thank you for letting me take all the credit for your fabulous desserts! They think I'm the "cats meow" when it comes to baking. Take care D. Cruse

@ South Africa: If you don't have refrigerated biscuit dough, just supplement with homemade biscuit dough which is cheap and easy to make, just search "biscuit" on paula's site. good luck.

I made this yesterday for our church Thanksgiving dinner, and it was a huge hit! It was delicious! But I only had one can of biscuits. They were jumbo so I tore them in Half. It still turned out great! Thanks Paula!

I made it according to directions and it came out gummy. The oven temp is correct for sure because I have a thermometer in there just in case. Looks good, but disappointing.

Just made this but used sweetened condensed milk as the spread instead of cream cheese. Paulas step daughter uses this version and it's truly amazing. Totally different taste. Tastes like heaven I'm told!
