Servings: 12 rolls

Cook Time: 15 min
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients Add to grocery list

2 cup self-rising flour
1 cup milk
2 tablespoon sugar
4   heaping tablespoons mayonnaise

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Mix together flour and milk.  Add sugar and mayonnaise.  Bake in slightly greased muffin tins for 12 to 15 minutes or until brown.

While this was a very easy recipe, The rolls tasted funny. Not at all like the rolls I am used to. I think you need to add less mayo for a better roll flavor.

My sister-in-law gave me this "roll" recipe. I went on line to find a similar cheese biscuit or roll recipe. I found two that sounded great to try. I wrote them down and went to the grocery store for ingredients. When I got home I could not find the recipes. I have spent what seems like hours to find the sour cream butter biscuit recipe but cannot find the same cheese biscuit/roll. It was an easy recipe using only two or three more ingredients. Can you help a poor OLD woman? It is driving me NUTS. thank you, Sue Schlecht

I like this recipe because it is so easy , and it works . ! I have not found but one other bread recipe besides this one that actually works. ! I used the baking powder beacuse I did not have but regular flour like it said in the reviews column . I also substituted the flour for bread flour and I like it better .

I'd tried a similar recipe before (not a Paula recipe) and wasn't impressed, but it didn't call for sugar. The sugar makes all the difference in the taste. My family loves these.
