Creamy Onion Canapes

Ingredients Add to grocery list

Paula Deen’s Seasoned Salt to taste
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1   8-ounce package of cream cheese
1   package of white sandwich bread
2 tablespoons oil
2   onions cut into rings
Black and red pepper
Paprika
Mayonnaise

Directions

Caramelize onions by sauteing in oil until they are brown and slightly sticky.  Remove from heat and set aside.  Cut bread into 2-inch rounds, using a biscuit cutter or a glass.  Toast one side.  Season cream cheese with Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, black and red pepper and paprika.  Spread cream cheese mixture on toasted side of the bread rounds.  Top center with caramelized onions.  Frost with mayonnaise and sprinkle lightly with paprika.  Bake at 400 degrees until toasted and bubbly.

I was in Savannah in Sept 2012 and ate at The Lady and Sons. The attention to detail the servers and staff members gave the customers was unbelievable. I did tell the gentleman that was working there, the food was the best I had ever had at a buffet. I had an employee take a picture of my plate or plates as it was, so I could show my friends back in Calif. how wonderful it looked and tasted as well. It was the second time in savannah for my husband and I. Beautiful town, and the first time we were their, we didnt have reservations so I left disapointed. Now for Bobbys light foods, I love them and use them often. Love all your shows. Im a hudge fan, keep it up.
