Crab Quiche

Ingredients Add to grocery list

4 ounces gruyere cheese, shredded
One 9-inch pie shell, par-baked and pricked with a fork
1 pound fresh white crabmeat, drained
2 scallions, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning, such as Old Bay
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pinch ground mace
3 eggs, beaten

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Sprinkle the cheese evenly over the bottom of the pie crust. Top with the crab meat and sprinkle with the scallions. Whisk together the heavy cream, lemon zest, mustard, seafood seasoning, salt, mace and eggs in a bowl. Pour the egg mixture into the pie crust.

Bake until the custard sets, about 40 minutes. Let stand for 15 minutes before slicing.

I just made the crab quiche does anyone know how many calories are in it? It is sooo good and very rich. The best. I have made this 4 or 5 times it is always a hit.

I saw the show and had to try the crab quiche. The quiche was delicious! Next time I make it I will use a little more lemon zest, use cajun spices instead of seafood spices and add a pinch of salt. 40 minutes was not close to enough time--it took over 50 minutes for the custard to set. I give the recipe 5 stars.

LOVE U!!!!!!!! Got a recipe for an EASY ham & cheese Quiche from one of your shows & made it a few times---SO GOOD & SO EASY, but I can't find my recipe...can u help???????? It was made w/a pre cooked pie shell, eggs, milk, ham cubes & cheese--------bought the ingredients to make it ---would love to do so soon...............THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
