Recipe Courtesy of Paula DeenThis recipe takes broccoli slaw in an Asian direction.
Servings: 10-12 servings
Prep Time: 5 min
Cook Time: 15 min
Difficulty: Easy
Chopped green onions for garnish
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup slivered almonds
3/4 cup stick butter
2 (3 oz.) bags Ramen Noodle Soup in Oriental (other flavors will work, too)
2 (12 oz.) bags of Broccoli Cole Slaw (in the bagged salad section of the grocery
Dressing Mix
3/4 cup Canola oil
1/4 cup brown or white sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 Ramen noodle seasoning packet
Put the ramen noodles in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin while melting butter in a large skillet over low/medium heat. Add the crushed noodles and slivered almonds to the skillet and saute, stirring occasionally (keep temperature at low/medium heat) until golden brown. Meanwhile, whisk together all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl. Place the shredded broccoli into bowl and toss with the noodles, almonds, and sunflower seeds. Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat. Garnish with chopped green onions.

This recipe was amazing. I don't like cole slaw with mayo, so this was great...wonderful crunch & just the right amount of sweet & sour. Great side dish for summer BBQ and quick night dinners with baked chicken or hamburgers/hotdogs. Thanks. :-D

This salad is wonderful. I add crasins( cranberry rasins ) about a cup full to a medium size salad.

This salad has become one of my favorites. It's delicious and fairly easy to fix. I cut it in half which works well for my family. I do use slightly less butter than the recipe calls for, but that's the only thing I do differently.

This was excellent and we all enjoyed it. I split the recipe directions in half since there is only two of us. I didn't want alot of leftovers. Thank you!!!!!!!

I do love this recipe, as does everyone else I have served it to. I would love some nutritional info, or at the very least, have Bobby "Lighten It Up". How about it Bobby?

Great Recipe. Add the sunflower seeds last when you saute the almonds & noodles, they cook fast.

My neice served this salad at a baptism and it was a great success. In the meantime, I have asked her for the recipe and she told me it was a Paula Deen receipe. I cannot wait until I can get the ingredients to make the salad. It had great flavour and can't wait unitl I can taste this again. Thanks for the great recipe.
