Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 8 min
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients Add to grocery list

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup toasted walnuts
1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 tablespoon cold butter, cut into pieces
3 – 4 tablespoons ice water
1 teaspoon cider vinegar

1 (8-ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese (Neufchatel)
1/4 cup reduced-fat (2%) Greek-style yogurt
6 tablespoons confectioners’ sugar
2 cups fresh blueberries

Preheat oven to 400°F.

To make the crust, put the flour, walnuts, sugar, and salt in a food processor; pulse until the nuts are finely ground. Add the oil and butter; pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Combine the water and vinegar in a small bowl. Pour through the feed tube, pulsing just until the dough comes together. Shape into a disk. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to a 12-inch round; ease the dough into a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom, pressing the dough against the side of the pan. Prick the dough with a fork. Roll a rolling pin over the rim of the pan to cut off the excess dough.

Line the tart shell with a piece of foil; fill with dried beans or rice. Bake until set, about 20 minutes; remove the foil with the beans. Bake until golden, 10 – 12 minutes longer. Place the tart pan on a rack and let cool completely.

Meanwhile, to make the filling, beat the cream cheese in a medium bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until very smooth. Beat in the yogurt and sugar until blended. Spoon the filling into the cooled crust. Sprinkle the blueberries over top. Refrigerate until well chilled, at least 2 hours.

Hey Paula just saying that I love your recipes! My favorite blueberry recipe is blueberry dumplings. And another good one is blueberry~ pineapple cobbler. I've never been able to take the dumplings to a gathering because my hubby eats them all. He loves them with french vanilla ice cream.

My boys and I just picked blueberries today! I made a variation of this with a graham cracker crust (to tired to roll one out!), used vanilla greek yogurt, spread some of the blueberry preserves I made this morning on top, then topped with blueberries. I can tell from licking the bowl that it's going to be goooooooooooood!!

It appears that the tart has a jelly style sauce to it but it is not metioned in the recipe.nI am trying to figure that out.

Why don’t you just copy and paste onto a blank sheet of paper.  that works!

It would be nice to see someone do a cookbook with some lighter recipes for the ones that are trying to watch their weight, and for the ones who are trying to lose to keep it off. Me being a diabetic I am always looking for some new recipes. I have changed my way of eating and eat nothing but fresh fruits and veggies and beans for protein. I have steered ( no pun intended haha) away from the meat, milk and cheese. I know some may be saying that is terrible but not for me. I have lost close to 25 pounds and feel great. But then what works for some may not work for others. I understand that. Just wish I didn’t have such a time with my family wanting to bring junk into the house and trying to tempt me with it. I have a 9 year old son to think about and don’t want him going through life being overweight and and sick. I love watching you Paula on the Food Network and would love to come to Georgia one day and visit your fine restaurant and meet you and your family. Keep up the good work Deen Family.

Can Paula’s new Blueberry Lime be lightened? For example, Could I use SF Cool Whip or something similar in place of heavy cream? What could be used in place of ladyfingers; we seldom have them here. Thanks so much.

Highlight the recipe only, file print, then “selection” only.  If that doesn’t work, highlight recipe only, copy and paste to another document form and print.  Do not highlight the picture or name of Bobby as this pulls in the surrounding info.  Hope this helps you get a copy and then the tart!

That is because this is an article and your web browser will print the entire page.

All of Bobby’s lighter recipes are available in our Recipes section, where you can print just the recipe.
