Season 6 of my Food Network Show, Paula’s Best Dishes, will be setting up to tape this week in my home. I thought y’all might find it interesting to know how many people (crew) it takes to tape this show. When we have guests on the set, they tell me how amazed they are at how efficiently everything runs AND what a disaster my house is! For two weeks of taping, I will have only one very small path from my bedroom to the kitchen (thank goodness I have an exit through the laundry room out to my car). The rest of my house is a full blown mess. This crew that comes from all across the United States, moves furniture and rugs, hangs lighting, brings in tables and monitors, racks for food and various equipment that, after all these years, I still don’t know what it is used for.
I couldn’t imagine spending two weeks in such a small space with any other group of people. As you can imagine, we have become a family over the years. Like most family visits, I can’t wait for them to arrive and I look forward to seeing them go!
