I think it was either my mamma or my Aunt Peggy, I can’t remember which, who told me that the lady who created the original Toll House Cookie recipe (Miss Ruth Wakefield) for the Nestle Company got chocolate for life! Maybe that was the real reason I started being interested in cooking. Chocolate for life! Milk chocolate in my case since it is my favorite.

For every cook, I think there must be one favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. In my house right now as I’m writing this there are 7 cooks and they all tell me they have their own special recipe. This recipe is my personal favorite since it has three different chocolates and one of them is milk chocolate!  To make it even more special, I added almond brickle chips for crunch! I like to give these cookies as a gift in a pretty box or a shiny tin like we did here in the picture with some natural parchment paper to make it all homey. I always include the recipe and try to make sure the recipient (my friend Donna) has some cold milk in the refrigerator when I deliver them!
