Step 1: Slice your avocado in half lengthwise working around the pit.
Step 2: Separate the avocados into halves by gently twisting and exposing the pit.
Step 3: Carefully whack the heel of your knife into the pit of the avocado and gently twist the knife to get the pit out. Use a tea towel to remove the pit from the blade of your knife.
Step 4: Score the avocado’s flesh, with a paring knife, being careful not to cut through to the skin of the avocado (or into your hand!).
Step 5: Pop the avocado chunks out of the skin.
Step 6: Or you can scoop it out of the skin using a spoon.
