By The Paula Deen Test Kitchen

During the holidays, be it the spirit of giving or the cold weather, we tend gather indoors with friends and family. Dips are great party foods because they feed a lot of people are generally easy to prepare. We’ve compiled a list of our favorite hot and cold holiday dips for your party pleasure!

If you’re interested in serving a dip that holds up to a chip—be it a bagel chip, pita chip, potato chip, or tortilla chip—we recommend these delicious dips.
1. Warm Mexican Crab Dip
2. Hot and Spicy Refried Bean Dip
3. Five Layer Taco Dip
4. Chili Con Queso Dip
5. Three Cheese Hot Artichoke Dip
6. Black-Eyed Pea Dip

Buttery crackers and crusty bread are great for dipping. They hold up great to heavier dips, which are perfect for a cold day. These dips go great with crackers and bread!

Vegetables (known to smarty-pants as “crudité”) are nature’s crackers. They are truly flavorful dipping sticks. The options are endless, so think outside of the box! You can stick with the basics—baby carrots, celery, broccoli, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, bell pepper, cauliflower—or you can go for something a little different—halved and roasted Brussels sprouts, asparagus, mushrooms, baby radishes, blanched green beans—because anything veggie goes with these delicious dips!
1. Lightning Fast White Bean Dip
2. Veggie Crudités with Light Dip
3. Curry Dip
4. Creamy Scallion Dip
5. Cucumber Dill Dipping Sauce

Fruit dips are a great departure from the savory dips typically offered at parties and are a great option for those watching their waistlines. If you’re worried about the fruit staying cold, the tray or bowl over another tray of bowl of ice and water.  Here are our favorite fruit dips!
1. Butterscotch Dip
2. Fruit Tray with Fruit Dip
