Top Two Reasons I Love My Nook.
It’s no secret around my office or at home that my vision is less than great. Of course, I have high-powered prescription glasses and “readers” at my desk, in my car, on my nightstand, on the coffee table, and virtually everywhere within 12 inches of something I might want to peruse up close. But even still, reading can be a real strain sometimes. So when I found out that the copy on Nook Tablets can be increased in size, I bought one. Of course, the skeptic in me saved the receipt in case it didn’t deliver. But the fact is, the first time I ramped up the type size and began to read, I knew I had made a wise purchase.

Here’s the second reason I love it. You can now get a subscription to view Cooking with Paula Deen Magazine right on your Nook.* All the beautiful food pictures, great recipes, and foodie talk, right before your eyes with the tap of an icon. And it’s easy to get a subscription. Go to cookingwithpauladeen.com, and click on the “digital version” link in the top right corner of the site to find out more.

During my skeptical, pre-Nook days, I thought I’d be a bit melancholy about not being able to hold a book and flip real-life pages. But friends, once I powered up and didn’t have to fumble around looking for reading glasses, I was very happy. I’d say the Nook has made reading once again a great escape that I look forward to every single day.
*You can get a subscription to Cooking with Paula Deen on your iPad, iPhone, and Android, too, once you’ve downloaded the Free Nook App.
