  • 1 lb package spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 large lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and toss to keep from sticking together. Set a timer for 7 minutes.

Step 2

Melt butter in a large saucepan. Once melted, add heavy cream and lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Turn heat to high and simmer for 2-4 minutes, then stir in the peas, garlic, Parmesan, lemon zest, salt and pepper.

Step 4

Drain pasta (reserving a tablespoon of pasta water to thin sauce if too thick) add it to the pan and toss with the sauce. Serve immediately.

Step 5

Top with more Parmesan before serving, if desired.

I can't tell you

I can't tell you how many times I've made this delicious pasta. This time I forgot to get peas, so I added sauteed asparagus. I also chopped up some leftover chicken breasts from the night before and added it as well. Easy and quick recipe!!
