Directions

In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside.  In a large bowl mix milk, sugar, melted butter, salt and eggs.  Add two cups of flour and mix until smooth.  Add yeast mixture.  Mix in remaining flour until dough is easy to handle.  Knead dough on lightly floured surface for 5-10 minutes.  Place in well-greased bowl and let rise until doubled, usually 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

When doubled, punch down dough.  Roll out on flour surface into a 15x9 inch rectangle.  Spread melted butter all over dough.  Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over buttered dough.  Sprinkle with walnuts, pecans, or raisins if desired.  Beginning at 15 inch side role up dough and pinch edge together to seal.  Cut into 12-15 slices.  Coat bottom of baking pan with butter and sprinkle with sugar.  Place cinnamon roll slices close together in the pan and let rise until dough is doubled, about 45 minutes.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes or until nicely browned.

Meanwhile, mix butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.  Add hot water 1 tablespoon at a time until the glaze reaches desired consistency.  Spread over slightly cooled rolls.

They are so freaking hard to make! #struggling! The dough didn't rise on its own so we had to put it in a warm oven with boilding water. Also, who starts a recipe with 'heat the oven' when you know it's going to take all day before anything's even supposed to go in there?! And on that note how could it possibly take 1hr 50m when in the recipe you have to leave it to rise and bake for over two hours - not including ANY prep time??! This recipe blows my mind. You should probably also mention not to just straight up pour half a cup of melted butter right over the dough without the cinnamon sugar mixture because that junk just slips right off the edges. But I mean they look pretty good, I just think the recipe sucks.

Tried all different cinnamon roll recipes and nothing beats this one! Used this recipe for fundraising, gifts, feeding large groups, as well as my family and everyone loves them! Easy to follow! Used brown sugar instead of white for filling, buttered bottom of pan and sprinkled addition brown sugar to add more gooey goodness!

I really miss your show and family. I pray that people will come around and you will have a chance to have another show. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of your Family. I was just joking about taking your cruise, it would be awesome, we just went to Alaska this past August, and it was our first cruise, ready to go again. Have you ever made cinnamon rolls with instant potatoes? They make it so soft in the recipe. Take care, Cherrye

These are the BEST cinnamon rolls out there! The glaze needs cream cheese though, so I added half a package of low fat to the current ingredients - perfect!
