A bone in roast will cook faster than a boneless roast because the bone conducts heat.

Toffee Brownies

Ingredients:

3   (6-ounce) candy bars with almonds and toffee chips (recommended: Symphony brand)
Vegetable oil cooking spray
1   (17.6-ounce) package brownie mix with walnuts

Directions

Prepare the brownie mix according to package directions.

Line a 13 by 9-inch cake pan with aluminum foil and spray with vegetable oil cooking spray. Spoon in half of the brownie batter and smooth with a spatula or the back of a spoon. Place the candy bars side by side on top of the batter. Cover with the remaining batter.

Bake according to package directions. Let cool completely, then lift from the pan using the edges of the foil. This makes it easy to cut the brownies into squares.

I made these but used two of the the giant Herseys milk chocolate bars - the 13x9 pan was gone in less than 45 minutes! Delicious and very easy to make. I had only heard about Paula's recipe when I made them, I had no idea they were supposed to be made with toffee. I'd think any candy would work. The chocolate bars melted but didn't liquify, perfect texture and taste! Thanks Paula!

I made them for a friends fathers funeral and while at the social gathering I overhead someone say "have you tasted these brownies" "they have a cookie toffee crunch in them, totally awesome". I just smiled and said privately "thank you Paula"..... They are the best!!!!! You rock, girl....

I just moved into a new home and as a welcoming present a neighbor gave me a plate of these brownies. The greatest brownie I've ever tasted. They didn't last and I can't wait to make them myself!

Quick, simple and yet such a great texture and taste. Made two batches within 24 hours and there are not many squares left. Next batch I may try Lindt raspberry bars!

My family won't allow me to make any other brownies. You can try different types/flavors of candy. THE BEST.
