I made this for a family reunion recently and everyone raved about it!! It is similar to a "dump cake" recipe that was popular a few years ago which used cherry pie filling. This is another PD A++ recipe!!

In my home my husband does all of the cooking and he does a great job. I seen this crunch cake on the Paula Deen Show and was able to mix it up to perfection. It's great topped with vanilla ice cream. Thanks for the easy recipe! Nancy Convertino

Paula, My sisters and I watched you and Michael make this on your Food Network show and decided we had to make it. Oh my God but it was absolutely outrageous. Buttery and crunchy, we've decided to try it again but we're going to experiment with different fruits and flavors. Wish us luck and really how much luck would you need with cake mix and butter. Thanks for a truly wonderful recipe. Marisa

I make this with apples. Just slice apples thin, place in baking dish, sprinkle 1/2 c. sugar and 1/2 c. water then top with the cake mix, pecans and butter. It is delicious!

This is the best! You can change up the blueberries with any other pie fruit filling and its still great! But our family calls this a "dump cake"!! Always yummy!!

I love this cake, as do my family and friends. The combination of blueberries and pineapple are unbelievably good.

Hey Amanda D.! Of course you could use fresh blueberries! Stir them into the crushed pineapple. You will probably want to watch your time as it will be a shorter bake time. Let us know how it turned out! Happy Baking!

This dish was very good. I didn't have vanilla ice cream so Im used blackberry cobbler ice cream instead. It was very good. By the way I love your shows. I also like to catch you when you are on QVC.

I've made this recipe for years and it is always a huge hit. Wonderful when served warm with vanilla ice cream! You can also use a can of cherry pie filling or a box of white cake mix in substitution for this recipe if you don't have the blueberry or yellow cake mix on hand (or just to try something different)!

The recipe was easy a sound very good, but I went exactly by the directions and the center cakemix didn't cook well enough. Was it something I done to cause this to happen? When I tried to cook it a little longer, my pecans began to over-brown. Please let me know if I need to try something different with this recipe. Thanks...disappointed Teresa.
