Ingredients Add to grocery list

1   8-ounce box pitted dates
30   pecan halves
10 to 12   slices bacon

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Stuff each date with a pecan half.  Cut each slice of bacon into 3 pieces.  Wrap 1 piece around each stuffed date and secure with a toothpick.  Bake until bacon is crisp, 12 to 15 minutes.  Drain and serve.

Paula, I saw you make this on one of your shows several years ago for your husbands get together for his buddies. I have been makeings these since then. Everytime we have a get together, I am told to please bring those date things. When my friends find out how simple they are to make, they just can't believe it. I tell them, it's a Paula Dean Recipe. I just love your show, and when you are on and I can't watch, I tape it. Hope you and your family have a Blessed Christmas and Holiday Season.
